Marla Wallerstein

I make each piece to be a sacred personal talisman - the one you barely take off. Meaningful with a cool defined edge, it becomes part of you. That piece. That's what I do.

From the romance of ancient history, to the legends of New York's smokey early punk rock scene, influences run wide.

In my moonage daydream, I work in the wake of a crumbling Roman Empire, 'round the corner from Andy Warhol's Factory, exiled on Main street... in my Chicago studio.

The work

MarLa studio jewelry is handmade in the USA.  I design, cut, hammer, form, etch, stamp, solder and create each piece.

The collection is cast using centuries old methods. To achieve the antiqued aura, I oxidize and finish all surfaces.

Each piece is worked on extensively by me.

Individually produced handmade jewelry is my labor of love.

Thank you for visiting MarLa studio.
